Youth Ministry often exists because of the failure of the church to engage younger audiences. As a result, youth ministries are created and form "mini-churches."
This blog isn't here to criticize the model or tout how churches may have missed the mark. We're here to engage the youth ministry and church world to see how the two can be brought back together for the health of both the church and youth ministries. We're here to explore how the church can be more effective, and how youth ministries can be more effective, by fusing them both together again.
Youth ministries will probably never go away, and it's good that they won't. Students need a place to connect with their peers. However, we need to explore how this can be done in conjunction with students engaging the rest of the church, and the church fully engaging students (while not neglecting others). Join the conversation and help us fuse the two together again...
